Simon Le Bon was feeling a bit lost.It seems that there had been several revisions made to the setlist earlier in the day and the Duran Duran vocalist didn’t get the finalized document.“We got to version No. 7 or 8,” he remarked to the crowd. “And I got version No. 6.“Now, I really don’t know what song we are doing next.”The situation was quickly resolved and turned out to be the only hiccup in what was an otherwise pretty much flawless opening night of Duran Duran’s 2023 North American tour on Saturday (May 27) at BottleRock Napa Valley. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group — which also was scheduled to perform on Sunday at SAP Center in San Jose — delivered a thrilling 100-minute set that nicely balanced the big hits with deep cuts and new songs.Duran Duran certainly wasn’t holding anything back at the start of the show, opening this headlining set on the festival’s big Verizon Stage with two of the new wave ba...Verstappen wins Monaco GP to extend F1 championship lead; Alonso 2nd ahead of Ocon

MONACO (AP) — Formula One champion Max Verstappen’s lights-to-flag victory at the Monaco Grand gave the Red Bull driver his fourth victory of the season and extended his championship lead to 39 points over teammate Sergio Perez on Sunday.Spanish veteran Fernando Alonso was a season’s best second for Aston Martin as he collected a fifth podium in six races, albeit 28 seconds behind Verstappen, while Frenchman Esteban Ocon secured third place and a rare podium for Alpine.Red Bull has won all the races so far.“It’s super nice to win it in the way we did today with the weather and everything to stay calm and bring it home,” Verstappen said. For most of the race, he coasted on a dry and narrow track where overtaking is the hardest in F1.But an incident-free race in Monaco is rare and heavy rain played havoc with about 20 of the 78 laps left. Some drivers had pitted for the wrong medium tires shortly before the downpour and slid around. “It was incredibly slippery,”...Unofficial results in Turkey’s presidential runoff split in early counting

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — Preliminary, unofficial results from Turkey’s state Anadolu news agency showed incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan ahead with 67% of ballot boxes counted, while a competing news agency gave a slight lead to the opposition candidate in a presidential runoff that will decide whether the country’s longtime leader stretches his increasingly authoritarian rule into a third decade.Anadolu showed Erdogan at 55%, and his challenger, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, at 45%.Meanwhile, the ANKA news agency, close to the opposition, showed the results at 51% for Kilicdaroglu and Erdogan at 49%, with 69% of ballot boxes counted. The outcome could have implications far beyond Ankara. Turkey stands at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, and it plays a key role in NATO.Erdogan’s government vetoed Sweden’s bid to join NATO and purchased Russian missile-defense systems, which prompted the United States to oust Turkey from a U.S.-led fighter-jet project. (CNN) — Here’s a story of an old TV house that has been redone inside like yesterday.Six kids used to call it home.It can be yours. For a big price to pay.“The Brady Bunch” house has hit the market for any fan of groovy ’70s pop culture, but it’ll take much more than a hunch to get your hands on it.The Los Angeles home, made famous by exterior shots on the blended-family sitcom, is going for $5.5 million. An extensive interior renovation makes it look just like it did on the show. From the outside, viewers saw a nice if typical suburban split-level. But inside, the show depicted an improbably sprawling spread known for a long, open staircase where the cast was regularly photographed. The show’s original run ended in 1974. When the longtime owner died in 2018, HGTV bought the house where Mike and Carol Brady raised Greg, Marcia, Peter, Jan, Bobby and Cindy, with the help of trusted maid Alice. The purchase led to a new series, called “A Very Brady Renovation,” fe...Latest news
