SAN DIEGO (KSWB) - Five men, including two contestants from the reality television show "The Bachelorette," are lucky to be alive after their fishing trip ended with their boat under water. Aaron Schwartzman and his friends took to sea for a day out in the sun, hoping to catch some fish, but soon found themselves stranded in water for three-and-a-half hours.The ship sank 15 to 20 miles off the coast of San Diego. Luckily for those on board, two people found them and were able to bring them back to shore. “It’s like being trapped and helpless because there’s no service, we weren’t able to send a distress signal at all, and the only thing you have out there is hope, hope that somebody finds you, hope that a helicopter flies over," Schwartzman, who owned the boat, said to Nexstar's KSWB on Monday. AUSTIN (KXAN) — American Airlines has canceled a nonstop route between Austin and St. Louis as part of network evaluations.The airline last operated flights on the seasonal route in May, but a spokesperson confirmed to KXAN it would not be resuming flights after the seasonal break."As part of a continuous evaluation of our network, American has made the difficult decision to end service between Austin and St. Louis," the spokesperson said. AUSTIN (KXAN) — A mother is speaking out after she says a man exposed himself to her 6-year-old daughter at an Austin Recreation Center."My daughter was like 'Dad I saw his thing,'" said the mother who wished to keep her identity anonymous.KXAN reached out to the City of Austin's Homeland Security and Emergency Management Department, as well as Parks and Recreation Department and APD for more information.The incident took place on September 5 at 5:20 p.m., according to the Austin Police Department."Parks and Recreation Department staff observed a man enter Hancock Recreation Center. Staff noticed the man's shorts were lowered and his genitalia was exposed. Staff immediately escorted all program participants from the facility and called 9-1-1. Craig, 25, was arrested for assault in the third degree, menacing in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, and harassment in the second degree. ST. LOUIS - Nearly two years after a deadly gas station shooting in north St. Louis, a man has admitted to criminal charges. Ernest Dupree, 39, pleaded guilty Friday to several felonies in connection with the shooting death of Clifton Southern in November 2021. That includes charges of second-degree murder, armed criminal action and motor vehicle tampering. New York company moving headquarters to St. Louis According to court documents obtained by FOX 2, Dupree shot Southern at a Shell gas station in the 2800 block of North Florissant Avenue in the Old North St. Louis neighborhood. Police say Southern was unarmed and asked Dupree not to shoot him while he was held at gunpoint. Dupree's pistol became jammed, and shot Southern several times, per court documents. Dupree avoided a trial by pleading guilty. He could be sentenced up to 17 years in prison based on his plea agreement.
