AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Couple more days of mild afternoon weather before Mother Nature pulls the rug out from underneath us.Afternoon highs will return to the upper 60s today under a sky mixed with filtered sunshine and high clouds. Editor's note: The video in this story aired on June 8, 2023.AUSTIN (KXAN) – Hays County will hold an open house Thursday about a $2.5 million study to expand State Highway 45 between I-35 and RM 1626. The open house is from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Sunfield Station Event Center in Buda, located at 2610 Main St. There will be a comment period from Dec. 7 until Dec. 22. The county said comments may be submitted through the county's SH 45 Gap Study website, during the in-person open house, or by using these resources.This will be the county's second open house on the expansion study. It said people can get background data, input from the first open house and preliminary route concepts. Hays County expects the study to take one to two years. HUDSON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Hudson man was arrested after a search warrant led to the discovery of multiple firearms, drugs, and a large sum of money. Antonio McCalop, 43, faces several charges. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - A St. Louis County police detective killed in the line of duty will be honored Thursday morning with a bridge named after him. The 'White Flag Church' on Telegraph Road is where the dedication ceremony is set for 9:00 a.m. The bridge we're talking about is the Telegraph Road bridge over the Meramec River.It's just down Telegraph and is going to be named the 'Detective Antonio Valentine Memorial Bridge.'Detective Valentine was 42 years old when he was killed in a horrible head-on crash on December 1, 2021, while on the job. Valentine had been with the St. Louis County Police since 2007 and was assigned to the Bureau of Drug Enforcement when he lost his life. So far, the state of Missouri has settled with ten drug companies that make or sell opioid painkillers.
