DENVER (KDVR) — The Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force and the Thornton Police Department are seeking help in identifying an individual who allegedly robbed a bank on Dec. 20.According to the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers, the alleged crime took place at about 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday at the First Bank located at 3990 E. 104th Ave. in Thornton.The suspect allegedly presented a demand note and fled from the bank on a mountain bike. The individual had been seen in the bank a day before the robbery, according to Metro Denver Crime Stoppers. DENVER (KDVR) — Santa visited Cherry Creek State Park on Friday, where he handed one big present to Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman and Aurora City Council member Danielle Jurinsky.The gift? A long-awaited road opening, new education programs in 2024 and a new camping loop opening immediately. A Superior Court judge ruled Friday that Treasurer Deborah Goldberg can go ahead with the meeting that could lead to the firing of suspended Cannabis Control Commission Chairwoman Shannon O’Brien.More than a week after hearing arguments in the case, Judge Debra Squires-Lee denied O’Brien’s motion for a preliminary injunction seeking to have the court mandate rules for the meeting, and she approved Goldberg’s motion to dissolve the temporary restraining order that had been in place since earlier this month.A hearing is not yet scheduled, Goldberg’s office said Friday afternoon, and Squires-Lee ordered Friday that it should only happen under the recently-revised “protocol” that Goldberg’s office has prepared.
