MDPD, SWAT respond to woman who barricaded self at home in SW Miami-Dade, accused of shooting at boyfriend A subject accused of shooting at her boyfriend barricaded herself at a residence in Southwest Miami-Dade, prompting a swift response by law enforcement. Miami-Dade Police officers surrounded the home in the area of 174th Street and Southwest 142nd Court, Friday morning. SWAT teams also arrived at the scene and a command post was established in the area by officers. The front windows of the home were knocked out by officers and a robot was sent inside for surveillance. Officers also wore gas masks at the scene, but it is unclear if they threw some type of substance inside the home in an attempt to get the woman out. According to officials, on Thursday, at approximately 6:26 p.m., MDPD responded to the area of Southwest 282nd Street and 167th Avenue after receiving reports of a shooting.
